Tango & Heidi

Some of you may have noticed that Tango has departed the MC Equestrian stables a few months back. She let us know it was her time to retire from riding school life at the age of 21.

Tango is loving her new life on a 5-acre farm near Wagga with her wonderful, nurturing owner Jodie, and her new paddock mate Heidi - the two are firm friends. Tango has many admirers on the farm and also gets lots of love and attention from Jodie’s two grandchildren… and three Kelpies!

Tango was part of the MC Equestrian Riding School for 5 years. She was assertive, quick-witted, sure-footed and very gentle with our kids and groups….. and she always loved a carrot or two! She was an asset to the school in teaching the understanding and importance of communication.

Tango arrived with Molly 5 years ago and the two were quite inseparable. In the beginning, Molly used to suffer a little separation anxiety when Tango would leave for a lesson, however, on her return, Tango would always calm and nuzzle with Molly to make her feel at ease. She was a sweet horse and will be missed by many staff, riders and fellow horses.

In her prime, Tango was a super performance horse, taking many of our students to their first cross country outings and keeping them safe. She also had a softer side and was incredible with our special needs riders. She was always taking the best care of them with her gentle nature and enabling them to feel at ease in her presence.

Tango will be missed by many and Jodie is ensuring she is living a great life on the farm. Her three-year old grandson is particularly fond of Tango and providing lots of love and cuddles.
