School Riding Programs
Ravenswood School Programs
MC Equestrian partner with Ravenswood and a number of schools in the region. We tailor-make programs to suit each schools individual needs and requirements. Our horses are specifically trained to work with children and do so on a daily basis within our riding school; for lessons - both group and private, as well as during our school holiday camps. Our horses are continually schooled to ensure they are calm, well-mannered and able to adapt to all rider abilities, from beginner to advanced level riders.
Our facilities feature a large, covered arena - so lessons will never be impacted by the weather! Our team are friendly and accommodating and our coaches that work with the school groups are all EA qualified.
Below is a list of our programs for Ravenswood for 2024 and 2025.
Extracurricular After School Riding Program
Monday 4:15pm to 5:45pm
9-Week Riding Program - A mix of horsemanship and a private lesson each. Tailored to the groups existing skill level, students will learn how to prepare a horse for riding, groom and care for a horse, terminology and equipment/tack - uses and differences, how to read a horse’s body language and become confident and competent around horses,
During their private lesson our coaches will assess each student’s riding ability then adapt the lesson to suit their experience and build on existing skills (for those who have previously ridden). Beginner riders will be coached on finding their balance and making themselves comfortable in the saddle then progress through the dynamics of learning to ride.

Cost: Ravenswood School Students $1575
Sold as a course (minimum 9-weeks)
2 - 6 riders per course session
Note - Make-up sessions for missed days are not available for courses.

School Holiday - Taster Session
Thursday 5th Dec 12:15pm to 1:45pm
Saddle up for some school holiday fun! This special taster session offers Ravenswood students an exclusive preview into the exciting world of riding and what students can expect from our 2025 after-school extracurricular riding program. It combines meeting our adorable team of ponies, horsemanship skills - including grooming and horse care - with a private riding lesson tailored to each student's ability, helping beginners build confidence and offering experienced riders the chance to refine their skills.
Cost: Ravenswood School Students $160
*Note maximum weight 70kg to ensure our horses well-being.
** All school group lessons and courses continue regardless of weather. Our arena is covered for your riding pleasure, making it possible to continue lessons no matter the weather. **
