EA Coach Training at MC Equestrian

Coach training is paramount at MC Equestrian and Elle, Amber and Hélène are completing the final stages of their EA Coach accreditation over the coming weeks (some have already completed).

Becoming an accredited coach is a notable achievement and many hours of study, training and assessment go into completing it.

Before beginning EA Coach accreditation, students need to have completed their EA Introductory Horse Management and EA Introductory Riding Certificate as well as their First Aid Course, ASC Community Coaching Certificate and a Working with Children Check. Coach accreditation can take a year or more of study, lesson plan creation and training and assessment.

The team at MC Equestrian are lucky to have leading coach educator Megan Joerg, to come to our riding school once a month and work with the new coaches, training them and improving their skills on a monthly basis and setting goals for the team to achieve each session.

We work to ensure that all our coaches are kept up to date and continue to build skills and experience and aim towards the next level of qualification.

With only a few components left to assess, Elle, Amber and Hélène are excited to achieve this milestone in their coaching careers

There are now three more of our MC Equestrian team - Abbey, Sabrina and Nina - starting their EA Coach accreditation.

We also have Bree, Emily and Bri working on their Stable Management qualifications! Busy times at MCEQ!

Elle – “My coach training experience was very positive. It felt great to be really supported throughout by such experienced people within the industry like Megan & Dee, whom are both so happy to impart their knowledge & help individuals grow.”

Hélène –“ I really enjoyed going through the EA intro coach training course. I never thought I would be "good enough" to teach, but I came to realise that I can, and I am proud to have successfully completed it. Every day with practice I am learning more and more. I really like how the training has taught me to be assertive, and given me more awareness in my own riding.”

Amber – “The whole process was super helpful and I feel a lot more confident in how I teach. Dee and Megan have been amazing throughout, giving me support, guidance and knowledge to help me improve as a coach. It was a challenging course, but very worth it, because I love being able to teach and guide others in a sport I adore.”
